Sailing
Oil on canvas, 94 x 145 cm, 2008-22. Several times I reconsidered taking up again my career as a naval architect to get some money. I read up on the subject and eventually this background fused with the paintings. GZ-curves and steel structure drawings occurred in my work. Calculations of metacentric height and propeller efficiency became part of the paintings. For a period they were a part of this painting too. Until I moved on and came back to why this painting started at all.
